Explore one or more trails in Maine; Oyster, Wine, Beer and/or Distillery

Start planning your next adventure by exploring a different type of trail in Maine, this is not one you hike. Maine is a state full of so many wonderous places and happenings.

Begin your trail here….

Maine Oyster Trail

The Maine Oyster Trail is an interactive guide which features more than eighty oyster businesses. The trip planner allows you to build your own trail based upon your desired experience, from farm tours to raw bars to boat and kayak tours to where you can buy oysters directly from farmers. The Damariscotta region, where The Bradley Inn is located, is referred to as the “Napa Valley of Oysters” as it is the center of the state’s oyster industry and even further, the oyster capital of New England. Eighty percent of all Maine oysters are harvested from this region.

Maine Wine Trail

The Maine Wine Guild’s website, Maine Wine Trail, provides you with the ability to plan out your adventure with an interactive wine trail map that fits your criteria. They also have a wine trail passport on which wineries will check off your visit, after six visits you get a Winery Guild t-shirt and the chance to win a grand prize. With twenty-nine wineries which produce grape and fruit wines, distilled spirits, mead, cider, and fortified wine, you can easily build out a trail in a localized region and get to those six visits in no time. T-shirt and chance to win a grand prize…here you come.

The Maine Brewers Guild website is chock full of information about the more than one hundred breweries in the state. It is not just a list, it is an adventure, from city pubs, river lodges, revitalized mills, old barns, downtown storefronts to down hidden dirt road hideaways. Whether you are looking for coastal, mountain or urban hangouts, Maine quality craft beers are in every must-see location. Build a map for your own adventure trail. You can create an online account to get credit for visiting breweries with a reward after reaching certain milestones.

Maine Distillery Trail

With seventeen distilleries in the State of Maine you have a wide range of options from which to choose when developing your trail. As you travel around this beautiful state you can sample some of the finest hand crafted, small batch spirits. Using ingredients such as corn, apples, potatoes, blueberries, cranberries, rye, buckwheat, maple syrup, herbs and botanicals grown right here in Maine. Print out the Trail Card to take on your journey to have each distillery visited stamp it when you visit. As with the other trails, you can receive a gift upon visiting a certain number of locations.

Plan your trail adventure(s) with The Bradley Inn as your home base. Where you start the day, after a great night’s sleep, with a great multi-course breakfast that will keep you fortified until you find your perfect place for lunch. And at which you end the day, after having completed the day’s trail, with dinner at The Bradley Inn Restaurant and another great night of sleep.  Can it get any better than that?
