Coolcation…do you know what that means?
It is one of the hottest trends, people looking to escape the heat and crowds, looking for cool (that is temperature cool as well as you know, COOL) vacation destinations.
It just so happens that we are in one of those areas.
The coast of Maine is cooler; temperature wise but not tundra-like cold. Ok, occasionally we have a cold snap when that pesky polar vortex comes to visit, that however has not been more than a few days in our experience. Believe it or not we are a bit more temperate on our peninsula because we are surrounded by “warmer” ocean water, unlike the inland colder climes.
There is nothing like a brisk walk around the Pemaquid Loop, then coming back to the warm Bradley Inn with pink cheeks that still feel cool and fresh from the outdoors. We are lucky to be able to experience this regularly and can certainly attest to its merit.
We have been a seasonal business, May through October, however, have are now opening the Inn three weekends in the winter. We wanted to share this totally awesome place and experience with others that typically only come to Maine in the summer. Plan your coolcation and join us.
We will have the building all warm and cozy, with afghans, knitted by my mother, to snuggle under while you read a book with a cup of tea, hot chocolate or glass of wine enjoying a baked good in the afternoon.
Yes, I said baked good…we bring that afternoon tradition back for the winter.
The restaurant will be open both nights so that you can enjoy a great meal and drink at the end of the day.
The weekends we will be open in 2025 are:
January 17 and 18
February 14 and 15
March 14 and 15
